IP Core Network Administrator Nokia / Ciena - Remote Work From Home

Job Responsibilities

Provide expertise and support for the local IP Core Network, including complex client-server environments. Responsibilities include operational monitoring, support, analysis, and systems administration; installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network systems; coordinating upgrades; and ensuring network performance and security.

Support incident resolution, perform daily operational checks, generate performance reports, and collaborate with engineering teams for system upgrades and problem resolution. Maintain network documentation, manage network resources, and ensure service level agreements are met.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to handle moderate stress levels and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing large network platforms and using Visio.
• Understanding of routing, multicasting, high availability, security, and standards.
• Experience with SNMP management systems, Remedy, Metasolv, and other network tools is recommended.

Certifications

Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNA, Nokia NRS-I, CCNP, Nokia NRS-II, or equivalent.

Pay and Benefits

Hourly rate: $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, and PTO.
