Job summary

Shipcom is seeking an IoT Integration Engineer to lead backend integrations and RFID/RTLS hardware projects from Houston HQ. You will architect data pipelines, ensure secure, scalable communication across devices and enterprise software, and collaborate with frontend teams for a cohesive product experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience as a baseline requirement.
• 3+ years cloud solution design patterns including microservices and distributed architectures.
• 3+ years with .NET, React and Kubernetes in production environments.
• 3+ years IoT experience, with Azure or Industrial IoT exposure.
• 2+ years IoT Edge Computing and data pipelines.
• 2+ years Microsoft Azure design, high-level and detailed technical designs.
• Experience with Big Data and Advanced Analytics on Azure is preferred.
• Strong ability to design scalable IoT ecosystems including sensor integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support cross-functional solution design across applications, IoT platforms, data, networks, and security.
• Define requirements and produce architecture artifacts for IoT and Azure analytics.
• Integrate systems using REST, AMQP, MQTT with .NET Core and IoT providers.
• Maintain a roadmap of IoT technical architecture services.
• Develop expertise in emerging IoT technologies and edge computing.
• Support MVP exercises and cross-functional technical services including DevOps pipelines.
• Evaluate IoT and SaaS vendors during reviews.
