Job summary

CNO Financial Group is hiring an Investment Accounting Intern to work with seasoned associates in Carmel, IN, assisting with day-to-day investment accounting tasks and reporting. The role offers exposure to investment accounting processes, data validation, and financial reconciliations within a supported learning environment.

The program runs May 17 through August 06, 2027, with paid days off for Memorial Day and 4th of July.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Rising junior or rising senior, approx. graduation dates of December 2027-June 2029.
• Availability to work 40 hrs/week for 10-12 weeks during the summer.
• Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone preferred or willing to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to learn investment accounting processes, regulations and reporting.
• Assist in data entry, validation, and maintenance within the investment subledger database.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly workpapers and supporting documentation for financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Support testing, data validation and documentation for Singularity investment accounting system.
• Participate in quality control to verify accuracy and completeness of data.
• Analyze data from the new system to improve organization and reporting efficiencies.
• Document findings on account balances and variances for senior review.
• Support cash balancing activities including suspense transactions and reconciliations.
