Core Specialty Insurance invites you to join its Investment Accounting internship for a 12-week summer program in Cincinnati, OH. You will monitor investment activity and assist in month-to-date reporting within the investment accounting tool, gaining hands-on experience in a growing insurer's financial operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing introductory accounting/finance coursework.
• Strong communication skills.
• Interest in insurance industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily investment activity within the investment accounting tool.
• Prepare monthly investment reconciliations including custodial, Clearwater and Workday reconciliations.
• Prepare and post monthly investment journal entries on a GAAP and statutory basis for six insurance companies.
• Assist in coordination among banks and state insurance departments for investment transactions and account maintenance.
• Maintain procedural documentation for assigned responsibilities.
