Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Inventory Analyst to help achieve inventory management goals across planners, suppliers, or categories. The role emphasizes accurate purchase orders, minimizing spoilage, and reducing DSO while maintaining customer service levels.

You will review critical items, monitor stock, and coordinate with sales to expedite orders. The position requires experience in inventory planning tools and strong Excel skills within a large distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year professional business experience or relevant degree; retail/wholesale/distribution background.
• Experience in inventory management/purchasing for a distributor with 10,000+ SKUs.
• Strong Excel skills and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Achieve inventory management service level, DSO, and spoilage goals.
• Review daily out of stock reports and expedite orders as needed.
• Manage inbound POs for cost, quantity, dates and discrepancies.
• Maintain forecasting parameters to adapt to demand changes and seasonality.
• Support returns to suppliers and product recalls as required.
