Job summary

DCARA is seeking an Interpreting Services Specialist to coordinate interpreter scheduling across multiple counties from a fully remote home-office setup. You will ensure precise matching of certifications and availability while maintaining clear records and timely client updates.

This role requires excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and the ability to work within Pacific Time hours. Strong communication with Deaf communities and hearing clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling, dispatching, interpreter services, or client service coordination.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals as well as hearing customers.

Responsibilities

• Schedule interpreters by matching certifications, skills, availability, and proximity.
• Communicate assignment details and status updates to interpreters and clients.
• Handle high-volume calls and emails with rapid response times.
• Maintain interpreter availability and customer records in scheduling systems.
• Notify coordinator of contract changes or outdated agreements.
