Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is offering a remote part-time Audit Internship (20 hours per week) to assist with SOX and other audit projects across Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT.

Interns will participate in audits and gain hands-on experience in process and control testing while balancing class schedules. The role targets incoming juniors pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems with coursework in accounting, data analytics, economics, or programming.

Qualifications

• Incoming Junior pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems with coursework in accounting, data analytics, economics, or computer programming.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of auditing and business operations through training and participation in SOX or other audits.
• Perform audit procedures, identify and define issues, develop criteria, review evidence, and document auditee processes.
• Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and compose summary memos.
• Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment.
• Communicate results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
