Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Audit Intern to support the Ryder Audit Services department. This remote part-time internship (20 hours per week) offers exposure to SOX and other audit types across Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT.

You will work on audits, prepare working papers, and help document findings and recommendations. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems with coursework in accounting or data analytics and have strong MS

Qualifications

Pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems with coursework in accounting or data analytics.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

Learn the fundamentals of auditing and business operations through formal and on-the-job training and participation in SOX or other compliance, process, vendor, and IT general controls audit assignments
Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing/analyzing evidence, and documenting auditee processes and procedures
Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and compose summary memos
Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
Communicate or assist in communicating the results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management
