Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Audit Intern for a remote part-time role (20 hours per week) to assist with a variety of audit projects in Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Information Technology. Interns may work on SOX or other compliance audits, process audits, vendor audits, and IT general control audits, among others.

This opportunity will be a remote part time internship within Ryder Audit Services that is flexible around your class schedule.

Qualifications

• Incoming junior pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems with relevant coursework in accounting, data analytics, economics, or IT-focused curriculum.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of auditing and business operations through formal and on-the-job training in SOX/compliance and IT general controls audits.
• Perform audit procedures: identify issues, develop criteria, review evidence, and document processes.
• Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and draft summary memos.
• Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment.
• Communicate audit results via written reports and oral presentations to management.
