Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Audit Intern to support SOX and other audits across Accounting, Finance, Operations and IT. This remote part-time internship (20 hours per week) offers flexible scheduling to fit a student’s classes.

As an Audit Intern you will learn auditing fundamentals, perform procedures, prepare working papers, and document issues with independent judgment. You will also present findings to management as part of the internship experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA/BS in a relevant field with coursework in accounting, data analytics, or information systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of auditing and business operations through training and participation in SOX/compliance audits.
• Perform audit procedures, document auditee processes, and develop issues and recommendations.
• Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and write summary memos.
• Communicate audit results via written reports and oral presentations to management.
