Job summary

The American Heart Association invites applications for a remote development internship supporting the Laurel Highlands Heart Ball and Blair Go Red for Women campaigns. This 20-hour-per-week role runs 1/25/27–5/7/27, with a $23/hour salary and travel to events in Blair and Cambria Counties.

You'll help with event planning, outreach, sponsor materials, data tasks, and admin duties while developing Canva and basic Adobe and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Candidates who are seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in business, communications, nonprofit fundraising, or event management.
• Highly skilled with Canva. Basic Adobe experience.
• Experience/interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising.
• Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.
• Proficient in multiple social media platforms; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing pre-event logistics, and on-site event management.
• Conduct pre-event outreach to attendees and members of giving societies such as Cor Vitae and Circle of Red.
• Assist with sponsor presentation preparation and follow-up materials.
• Assist with pulling reports, data entry, and organizing event information.
• Prepare printed materials and manage event supplies.
