Job summary

Logistis for Designers, a fully remote bookkeeping and accounting firm serving interior design firms, seeks an Interior Design Procurement Manager. You will oversee procurement for design projects, sourcing furnishings, materials, and services while aligning with client budgets and timelines.

You will collaborate with designers and project managers, manage vendor relationships, and monitor budgets to optimize cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the interior design or related design industries.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and negotiation techniques.
• Understanding of interior design materials, furnishings, and industry-specific procurement needs.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with designers, vendors, and team members.
• Proficiency with procurement software and Exel; experience with bookkeeping or accounting tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, demonstrating strong self-motivation and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for interior design projects, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing furniture, materials, and services.
• Collaborate closely with interior designers and project managers to understand project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure favorable terms and reliable delivery schedules.
• Track and monitor procurement budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with project financial goals.
• Coordinate logistics for the timely delivery and installation of procured items.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation to support bookkeeping and accounting activities.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend procurement best practices and tools that improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
