Job summary

Logistis for Designers is a remote bookkeeping and accounting firm serving interior designers. The Client Manager leads client relationships, oversees a bookkeeping team, and translates financials into actionable guidance, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

You will onboard new clients, optimize workflows between QuickBooks Online and design platforms, and coach designers and bookkeepers on best practices to improve profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience at a senior accountant level
• Proven experience with books cleanup and catch-up work, including reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
• Experience onboarding new clients and teaching accounting best practices to non-accountants
• 3+ years in a client-facing role, such as client management or account management
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and accrual-based financial statements; ProAdvisor certification is a plus
• Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-accountants
• Experience leading or mentoring remote or offshore bookkeepers
• Highly organized with ability to juggle many clients and deadlines
• Comfortable on Zoom and phone for client conversations
• Bonus: Studio Designer, Houzz Pro, Programa; Gusto; Karbon; multi-state sales tax; interior design industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for your assigned clients via email, phone and Zoom
• Lead recurring monthly or quarterly calls to review financials, cash flow, AR/AP and project profitability
• Help designers understand gross profit margin, markups and net income and recommend changes when margins are low
• Answer workflow questions about Studio Designer, Houzz Pro, Programa and QuickBooks Online
• Coordinate with clients’ outside CPAs, payroll providers and software reps as needed
• Lead onboarding calls and guide clients through onboarding checklist
• Secure access to QuickBooks, banks, payroll and tax accounts and design-platform integrations
• Run cleanup assessments and scope catch-up work
• Oversee mapping and setup of design platform to QuickBooks and chart of accounts
• Do and oversee hands-on book cleanup and adjusting entries
• Teach best practices for workflows and invoicing across platforms
• Train and coach bookkeepers on cleanup and design-platform workflows
