Job summary

In-House Privacy, Inc. is seeking an Interim Privacy Counsel to support PTO coverage from October through mid-January in a remote role. The candidate will advise on privacy terms, assess data practices, and develop compliant data collection/sharing frameworks with cross-functional teams.

Requirements include a JD, US bar admission, and 5+ years of privacy counsel experience; CIPP/US or CIPP/E is preferred. The position may scale to full-time and extend beyond January.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum privacy counsel experience.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and US bar admission.
• CIPP/US and/or CIPP/E strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US state privacy laws, GDPR, ePrivacy, and global privacy laws.
• Experience building or maintaining privacy programs and handling data subject rights.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on commercial privacy terms and data governance.
• Draft, review, and update privacy policies and licensing terms.
• Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses; manage data subject requests.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and compliance teams to provide privacy guidance.
