Job summary

HackerOne is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join our privacy function, supporting global data protection, AI governance, and cross-border data operations across product, security, compliance, engineering, and sales. You will provide thoughtful, practical privacy guidance and help scale privacy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with GDPR experience and UK/EU focus.
• Experience drafting and negotiating data processing agreements.
• Experience handling privacy audits.
• Familiarity with global privacy laws (US, Middle East, Asia).
• Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Apply an AI-First approach to privacy processes and DPIAs.
• Adapt to evolving global privacy and AI regulations.
• Use First Principles to simplify privacy questions and provide actionable guidance.
• Support DPIAs, AI DPIAs, TIAs, LIAs, and other risk reviews.
• Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs and privacy terms for global sales and procurement.
