embecta is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Global Privacy, to lead our privacy program and advise on data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance. The role partners with stakeholders and supports commercial matters for the Canadian business.

Hybrid on-site 3 days/week in Parsippany, NJ. Ideal candidates hold a JD with 5+ years’ privacy experience, familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, CAN SPAM/TCPA, and strong communication and project-management skills.

Formación

• JD required with 5+ years of privacy experience.
• Licensed to practice in at least one US state.
• Experience with HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, CAN SPAM/TCPA, and global privacy laws.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the ongoing management and operation of embecta's global privacy program and coordinate the Privacy Steering Committee.
• Provide practical, risk-based legal guidance on privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Design, implement, and maintain privacy governance processes and controls.
• Lead privacy-by-design standards and practices.
• Develop and maintain privacy policies, notices, and data processing agreements.
• Support commercial teams in reviewing privacy provisions in contracts.
