Job summary

Vaco, partnered with a PE-backed consulting organization, is seeking an experienced Interim CFO to lead finance and accounting functions and partner with the CEO on strategy. This contract role is remote (Seattle area preferred, but open nationwide) with a pay rate of $90–$125 per hour and an expected duration of 3–6+ months.

The successful candidate will provide executive leadership, influence senior stakeholders, and guide go-to-market strategy, pricing decisions, and organizational planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Prior CFO experience.
• Experience in private equity-backed environments preferred.
• Consulting, professional services, staffing, talent solutions, or related service industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance and accounting functions, including oversight of the Controller, FP&A, and outsourced accounting operations.
• Partner directly with the CEO on operational strategy, business performance, and growth initiatives.
• Support go-to-market strategy, sales structure, pricing decisions, and organizational planning.
• Provide executive leadership and financial insights to private equity stakeholders and board members.
