Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing seeks an accomplished Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic, hands-on financial leadership for a private equity-backed organization. This remote contract role requires the ability to assess the finance function, set priorities, and partner with senior leadership to support objectives.

The successful candidate will blend strategic leadership with day-to-day financial management, oversee reporting, budgeting, and cash flow, and guide the finance

Qualifications

• Significant progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
• Prior CFO, Interim CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial leadership experience.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience with high-growth or rapidly evolving organizations.
• Experience with M&A integration, restructuring, or finance transformation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight across finance and accounting functions.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and performance.
• Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Develop financial forecasts and KPIs for visibility into performance.
• Lead finance transformation and systems initiatives as needed.
• Support M&A integration and restructuring activities.
• Communicate financial performance and risks to executive stakeholders.
