Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an Integration Architect to define enterprise-wide integration strategies enabling healthcare interoperability across systems and partners. You will lead the design of HL7, FHIR, and API-based solutions, collaborating with clinical, business, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure architectures.

The role requires Epic Bridges certification, 6+ years in integration architecture, and experience with on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

Associate degree is required; CS or Computer Information field.
6 years of experience in integration architecture or integration developer role.
Epic Bridges certification is required; HealthShare Health Connect Specialist and/or IRIS Professional preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Epic Bridges and InterSystems HealthConnect Cloud.
Experience building HL7 interfaces and FHIR API integrations for bidirectional data flow.
Ability to map data between HL7, FHIR, JSON, X12 formats and document data flows.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain enterprise-wide integration architecture for healthcare interoperability.
Establish and enforce governance, standards, and best practices for data exchange.
Provide strategic guidance on integration design patterns, tools, and implementation approaches.
Partner with clinicians, applications, and business stakeholders to align solutions with priorities.
Design scalable, secure, high-availability integration solutions across on-prem and cloud.
Evaluate emerging technologies to advance interoperability capabilities and innovation.
Serve as SME and escalation point for complex integration challenges.
Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security requirements.
