Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – HL7 Interfaces to lead requirements discovery and workflow analysis for HL7 and FHIR interfaces across EMR and enterprise systems, focusing on patient workflows and interface engines. You will engage vendors and technical teams, drive Agile delivery, and develop interface specifications, mappings, and acceptance criteria.

Epic Bridges certification and 5 years of healthcare IT experience are required.

Qualifications

5 years of healthcare IT or integration-focused business analysis.
Epic Bridges Certification is required.
Education: Bachelors Degree in IT, Healthcare Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions for HL7 and FHIR interface initiatives.
Analyze and document end-to-end patient workflows and system interactions.
Develop and maintain interface specifications, mapping documents, and acceptance criteria.
Drive vendor discussions by asking informed technical and workflow-based questions.
Identify when architectural input is required and engage integration architects.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage backlog items using Azure DevOps or Jira.
Communicate risks, dependencies, and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
