Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Integration Analyst/Engineer to support the VA VIPPS project, focusing on design and implementation of system integrations and data migration activities. You will work with the Data Integration Lead, API/Integration Developers, and SMEs to ensure enterprise-grade data exchange and transformation.

The role blends analysis and technical work, including API testing and data-quality controls, and requires the ability to obtain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in systems integration, data analysis, data migration/conversion, API/interface development or analysis, or related technical implementation activities.
• Strong data and systems analysis skills.
• Experience with REST APIs and enterprise integration concepts; comfortable with SQL, data mapping, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, interface specs, error handling, and data-quality controls.
• Experience integrating Federal or VA enterprise systems and SaaS integrations.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of the VIPPS solution.
• Collaborate with data integration and API teams to design enterprise-ready system integrations.
• Perform data migration activities including profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and testing.
• Develop source-to-target data mappings and understand source/target system data structures and business rules.
• Assist in API and interface development using REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL; contribute to API testing and automation frameworks.
• Troubleshoot data and integration issues with engineering teams and improve data quality controls.
• Document integration processes, mappings, test results, and technical specs for sustainment and knowledge transfer.
