Job summary

GovCIO is hiring an Integration Analyst/Engineer to support the VA(VIPPS) enterprise integration and data migration efforts. You will collaborate with API teams and SMEs to design, implement, test, and sustain system integrations, including legacy-to-modern migrations, data profiling, mapping, cleansing, and validation.

The role combines analysis and technical work, with remote US-based work hours and exposure to federal/VA systems and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in systems integration, data analysis, data migration/conversion, API/interface development or related activities.
• Strong data and systems analysis skills.
• Ability to develop source-to-target data mappings and data transformations.
• Background with APIs; understanding REST APIs and enterprise integration concepts.
• Proficiency with SQL, data mapping, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, interface specifications, and error handling.
• Capacity to assist with integration engineering and troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating Federal or VA enterprise systems and/or legacy-to-modern migrations.
• Experience integrating SaaS and outside systems.
• Knowledge of iFAMS and ECMS

Responsibilities

• Support implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of VIPPS solution.
• Collaborate with Data Integration Lead and developers to design and build system integrations.
• Perform data migration activities including profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and testing.
• Analyze source and target systems to define data mappings and business rules.
• Assist in API and interface development using REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, and SQL.
• Support API and integration testing with reusable automated tests.
• Troubleshoot data-exchange issues and data-quality concerns.
• Document integration processes, test results, and technical specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Ensure activities align with security, compliance, and clearance requirements.
• Experience with enterprise system security and governance is a plus.
