Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Integration Analyst/Engineer to support the VIPPS solution for the VA, focusing on design, integration, data migration, and testing. This hybrid role blends analysis and engineering to ensure secure, compliant data exchanges across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data integration, API development, and related technical work, with experience in SaaS and federal system contexts. Remote USA-based position with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of the VA VIPPS solution.
• Collaborate with Data Integration Lead, API/Integration Developers, and SMEs to design and build system integrations.
• Perform data migration activities including profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and migration testing.
• Analyze source and target systems to understand data structures and business rules, developing source-to-target mappings.
• Assist in API and interface development using REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL, and related integration technologies.
• Support integration and API testing by designing and executing test cases and reusable automated tests.
• Troubleshoot integration and data-exchange issues, resolving data-quality concerns and interface errors.
• Document integration processes, mappings, test results, and technical specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Ensure integration activities align with security, compliance, and Suitability/Public Trust requirements.
