Job summary

LifeStance Health Inc. is seeking a remote Ancillary Services Coordinator to verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations for testing and special services.

You will collaborate with patients and office staff to ensure accurate coverage and cost estimates, while maintaining detailed billing records in the chart. The role supports a national organization, requires 2+ years of billing experience, and offers hourly pay with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical facility or medical office billing experience.
• Professional experience and understanding of insurance products and coverage types.
• Experience with automated billing systems preferred.
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient medical insurance benefits through phone and online access of private insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid to obtain benefit information.
• Determine insurance benefit compatibility with LifeStance procedures/visits including, but not limited to testing and special services.
• Obtain pre-certification or authorization for procedures and enter into billing system software.
• Work closely with providers and operations team to provide the patient with benefit information to facilitate testing or other special services.
• Complete a cost estimate with the benefit information. Upload information in medical record and send to the patient for review.
