The Mike Rumford Agency in Topeka, KS seeks a full-time Insurance Sales Agent to join our team. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, help families protect their homes and vehicles, and grow with hands-on training and mentorship.

Expect a base salary of $35,000 with commission, a Monday–Friday schedule, and opportunities for career growth in a supportive, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Kansas Property & Casualty license preferred, not required; licensing help is available.
• 3 years of licensed insurance sales preferred; other sales experience helpful.
• Strong speaking and listening skills; coachable and goal-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales and production goals.
• Quote, present coverage options, and close sales from agency-provided leads.
• Help households review home and auto coverage together.
• Follow up on every quote and every new customer.
• Build and maintain relationships with networking partners.
• Follow underwriting and policy guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain consistent call and sales activity as directed by management.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education.

The Mike Rumford Agency is a veteran-owned Allstate agency with offices in Topeka and Wichita. We're looking for a confident, motivated, coachable person to join our Topeka office as a full-time Insurance Sales Agent.

Compensation

• Base salary: $35,000 annually
• Our sales agents have averaged about $20,000 per year in commission
• Top sales agents have earned $45,000+ per year in commission

Requirements

• Licensing: Kansas Property & Casualty license preferred, not required. Licensing help is available.
• Experience: 3 years of licensed insurance sales preferred. Other sales experience is helpful.
• Communication: Strong speaking and listening skills. You hear the customer out before you recommend.
• Drive: Self-starter, competitive, goal-oriented, and coachable.
• Teamwork: Reliable, follows through, and treats teammates well.
• Technology: Comfortable learning a CRM and quoting systems.
• Bilingual: Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Location: Works in our Topeka office, Monday–Friday.
