Job summary

AfterQuery is seeking a policy analyst for a remote, project-based engagement with 1–3 years of experience. You will review policy language, analyze coverage, and ensure regulatory compliance across diverse insurance lines. Projects run over 2–3 weeks with 10–20 hours per week, asynchronously.

Ideal candidates will have solid understanding of policy structure, endorsements, and regulatory requirements, plus the ability to independently interpret language and justify conclusions.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of professional experience as a policy analyst or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of policy structure, including declarations and endorsements.
• Solid understanding of insurance fundamentals, forms, filings, ratings, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret policy language, coverage forms, endorsements, and exclusions across lines of business.
• Analyze coverage determinations, policy comparisons, gap assessments, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate policy interpretations and coverage conclusions for accuracy and soundness.
• Collaborate asynchronously on project work with defined weekly hours.
