Job summary

Bestow is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a 6-month, 1099 contract. You will gather requirements, document scope with carriers, and translate business needs into technical specs for our engineering team. This role is remote within the US contiguous 48 states.

We value 2+ years of experience in insurance or SaaS, strong data interpretation skills, and excellent communication with clients and internal teams. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in insurance, financial services, or SaaS.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Able to interpret and organize complex product configuration data sets.
• Familiarity with policy administration systems or underwriting workflows is a plus.
• Clear communicator, comfortable with clients and internal teams, in writing and speaking.
• Proficient with Google Sheets, JIRA, Confluence, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Grist.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and document business needs for complex configuration data sets.
• Engage stakeholders at insurance carriers to document key scope decisions for assigned project(s).
• Translate requirements into technical specifications for Bestow’s engineering team.
