Job summary

MEDHOST is seeking an Account Follow-up Representative II for a remote US-based role. You will review outstanding insurance balances, perform follow-ups, and coordinate with payors to resolve claims after discharge.

Responsibilities include handling 40–50 accounts daily, addressing denials, gathering required information, and training newer staff while complying with HIPAA and MEDHOST standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes affecting insurance reimbursements.
• Understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and follow-up processes.
• Proficiency with telephone systems for outbound/inbound calls.
• Ability to access PHI according to guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up on patient accounts for insurance payments and rebill when needed.
• Process denials and zero-dollar pay reports within 24 hours of receipt.
• Gather demographics, medical records, and authorizations to resolve claims.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to complete assignments.
