Job summary

WiseLex BPO seeks a self-directed Insurance Defense Attorney with substantial experience to independently manage higher-value matters in a fully remote role, based in Western Pennsylvania.

You will handle case management, strategy development, pleadings, depositions, and court appearances while building regional relationships with carriers and self-insured clients, with leadership growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active PA law license.
• Substantial insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage high-value insurance defense matters from inception to resolution.
• Develop comprehensive case strategies and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Conduct/defend depositions and handle court appearances, mediations, and trial preparations.
• Take full ownership of significant litigation matters with minimal supervision.
• Maintain professional relationships with carriers, claims professionals, self-insured entities, and corporate clients.
• Assist in expanding the firm's insurance defense presence regionally and build portable relationships.
