The ideal candidate will independently manage high-value and complex litigation matters with minimal supervision while working remotely to expand the firm’s regional presence. Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school and an active Pennsylvania law license, along with substantial insurance defense litigation experience and strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.

• Substantial insurance defense litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage insurance defense matters from inception through resolution, including high-value and complex litigation.
• Develop case strategies and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial preparation.
• Take ownership of significant litigation matters with minimal supervision.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, claims professionals, self-insured entities, and corporate clients.
• Build regional professional relationships and contribute to the growth of the insurance defense practice throughout Western Pennsylvania.
