Job summary

Security Mutual Life Insurance seeks a Customer Service Representative to handle high-volume calls, assist clients and agents, and process payments in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have at least 3 years in customer service and 1 year of accounting experience; insurance or call center background is preferred. Bilingual Spanish is an asset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Service.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in an insurance industry or call center environment.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in a fast-paced call center environment and resolve customer questions.
• Process billing requests including account changes, payment type changes, refunds and policy related tasks.
• Handle manual premium payments and other service requests by check or phone.
• Process loan-by-phone requests and website inquiries.
• Complete insurance verifications and policy summary requests.
• Keep records of customer interactions and transactions and follow up to obtain missing items.
