LifeStance Health is hiring an Ancillary Services Coordinator for a remote US role. You will verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-certifications, and support billing processes to ensure appropriate testing and services for patients.

Ideal candidates have a background in medical billing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a national organization. This role offers hourly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years medical billing experience.
• Understanding of insurance products and coverage types.
• Experience with automated billing systems preferred.
• Training experience in business office activities preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience with insurance companies and policies.

Responsabilités

• Verify patient insurance benefits via phone and online access.
• Determine benefit compatibility with LifeStance procedures and visits.
• Obtain pre-certification or authorization for procedures and enter into billing system.
• Collaborate with providers and operations to provide benefit information.
• Prepare a cost estimate based on benefits and share with the patient.
• Enter data and forms to document patient benefits coverage.
• Alert staff to uninsured, underinsured, and potential billing issues.
• Provide accurate insurance benefit details to requesters and in the billing system.
• Maintain documentation in the patient chart and reporting resources.
• Be a resource to other teams regarding patient benefits.
• Support leadership with daily, weekly, monthly reporting needs.
