Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking an Insurance Authorization Specialist to review and manage benefits and authorizations for hospitals and physicians. You’ll serve as a liaison among the medical facility, patients, and insurers to verify benefits and obtain needed authorizations for care.

This full-time remote role requires 1–2 years in medical billing/coding, knowledge of CPT/ICD coding, and proficiency with standard office software.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9/10, HCPCS and hospital/physician billing terminology.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Billing/Coding experience with standard office software.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Verify benefits and secure authorization for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Maintain client work queue and meet productivity targets.
• Comply with HIPAA, CMS rules, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as directed.
