Job summary

John Costa State Farm is seeking an Acquisitions Specialist to drive new business and expand the agency’s customer base from a remote setting.

This sales-dominant role requires experience with State Farm products, licensing (P&C and Life), and a proven ability to prospect, follow up, and close deals while maintaining a strong pipeline. Bilingual skills (Spanish/Portuguese) are a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of State Farm agency experience required.
• Prior insurance sales experience required.
• Active Property & Casualty and Life insurance licenses required.
• Proven ability to generate, manage, and close sales opportunities.
• Strong phone, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Spanish or Portuguese fluency preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new business through outbound activity, leads, referrals, and networking.
• Follow up consistently with new and existing opportunities.
• Conduct needs-based sales conversations.
• Quote, present, and close auto, home, renters, life, and other insurance products.
• Cross-sell additional coverage when appropriate.
• Overcome objections and confidently ask for the business.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and track follow-up activity.
• Work toward individual and agency production goals.
