Job summary

USI, Inc. is seeking a Customer Care professional to service, sell and retain client accounts in a remote Pacific Time Zone role.

Responsibilities include servicing accounts via carrier websites, coordinating sales and problem solving, and ensuring timely quotes and policies with underwriters’ questions handled professionally. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in Personal Lines P&C, a P&C license (or willingness to obtain), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in Personal Lines P&C insurance agency.
• Thorough understanding of P&C coverages, underwriting and rating concepts.
• High School Diploma; college degree preferred but not required.
• State Property & Casualty license required or willingness to obtain within timeframe.
• Industry designations: ARM, CIC, CPCU or pursuing studies.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Sagitta/WorkSmart preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Sets priorities and manages workflow for efficiency.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Keeps informed about industry information, new products, legislation, and tech.
• Interacts effectively to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Service client accounts independently utilizing carrier websites and online rating systems.
• Provide technical expertise in coordinating the service of new and existing clients through sales, account development, and problem solving.
• Submit to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow up to ensure timely quotes and policies.
• Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
• Refer clients to carriers for direct reporting of claims; submit first reports of claims when necessary.
• Work within USI Personal Risk initiatives, placing business in carrier service centers and direct bill/download where possible.
