Job summary

Metris Global is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to provide design and development support responsive to client requirements and SOPs. The role emphasizes ISD processes, storyboard creation, and testing of competencies for government training programs, with a focus on Coast Guard contexts.

Responsibilities include developing design documents, selecting delivery methods, conducting evaluations, and ensuring adherence to TRASYS SOPs across task orders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred, or five years’ documented experience in a related field may be substituted.
• Minimum of two years’ experience using the ISD process in course development.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer graphics programs.
• Physical requirements may be required in some task orders, including observation and climbing ladders.
• Successful SSBI background investigation required.
• Submit resume and OF-306.

Responsibilities

• Provide design documents in accordance with USCG SOPs and task order requirements.
• Prepare storyboards/outlines for content development per SOPs and task orders.
• Select delivery methods/media to support development of performance and testing.
• Structure tests and practical exercises to verify learned tasks.
• Perform formative and summative evaluations, including pilots.
• Revise versions based on reviews and pilot data.
• Develop piloting plans for training experiences.
• Produce pilot study reports for final training products.
• Participate in reviews and ensure compliance with TRASYS SOPs.
