Sonoran Desert Institute is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Curriculum Team in delivering high-quality, online courses for distance education. The role focuses on new course design, updates, content development, and assessment creation to meet higher education standards.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts to craft outcomes, ensure accessibility, and develop engaging multimedia, assessments, and flexible learning materials using Canvas and related tools.

Qualifications

• Design and develop online courses for distance education.
• Apply adult learning theories and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with SMEs and QA to ensure alignment with objectives.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with SMEs to identify learning objectives and outcomes.
• Create course blueprints, syllabi, curricula maps, and design documents.
• Develop course shells, modules, and LMS pages using Canvas tools.
• Source and license external media with proper citation.
• Support QA processes and troubleshoot course access.
