Job summary

CapeTalent is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer for a short-term 6-week remote contract. The role focuses on designing and building end-to-end learning journeys for FinTech/SaaS workflows, with heavy AI-assisted workflow support using Claude and related tools.

A portfolio demonstrating impactful, scalable design is required. Ideal candidates will work 100% remotely from the US or Canada, start in October 2026, and work 40 hours per week at $50–$60 per hour on a 1099 or C2C basis,

Qualifications

• At least 5 years designing and developing instructional content with a portfolio of end-to-end journeys.
• Experience building with generative AI in live production (Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM).
• Strong prompting skills to guide model outputs and iterate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design learning journeys tied to real workflows and performance outcomes.
• Create storyboards and learning flows for scalable development.
• Rebuild legacy content into visually engaging, learner-first materials.
• Grow reusable design systems, prompt libraries, and frameworks.
• Develop interactive facilitator-led and live virtual sessions with materials and guides.
• Create microlearning, simulations, and game mechanics to boost engagement.
• Lead builds using Articulate Storyline as base and Rise for rapid development.
• Incorporate video, animation, and multimedia to ensure cohesive experiences.
• Refactor templates for better flow and engagement; maintain QA in the LMS.
• Collaborate with SMEs to align learning with business goals and metrics.
