Job summary

Nationwide Financial is seeking an Inside Sales Support Agent to provide frontline service for customer inquiries about pet health insurance. You’ll interact via phone, email, webchat and in person to educate members on benefits and resolve issues, with a strong emphasis on retention and professionalism.

Typically you will handle outbound retention calls, inbound sales queues, and webchat support, working toward memorable, high-quality customer experiences across shifts within 6am–6pm PST (M-F)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Property and Casualty license required in all 50 states; licensure maintained through Continuing Education.
• Previous inside sales, help desk or customer service experience.
• Experience in the financial services or insurance industry preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; additional tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound phone calls to existing Pet members to resolve payment issues and retain business.
• Reach out to existing Pet members to share information and offer products to retain customers through renewal or prevent cancellation.
• Assist and encourage customers to enroll in new or upgrade their current insurance products.
• Support inbound sales queue during peak call periods and inbound renewal queue year-round.
• Coordinate with departments to contact existing Pet members to resolve policy-related issues requiring quotes, plan changes, or payments.
• Enter and maintain member information and quote details in CRM/lead management systems like Salesforce and Reinsurance.
