Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Customer Development Specialist for the Central States (Central Illinois, Indiana) to drive sales with veterinary practices and manage relationships across a defined geography. The role emphasizes CVS-driven selling, CRM usage, and multi-channel engagement to deliver competitive growth.

You’ll collaborate with district teams, maintain product knowledge, and execute strategic plans to meet sales targets while working in a remote-capable setup within the Central States region.

Qualifications

• Inside sales or animal health industry experience preferred.
• Must have CVS aptitude and proficiency with CRM tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage long-term relationships with key veterinary practices to uncover needs and generate recommendations to hit sales targets.
• Partner with assigned sales districts to create business plans, nurture leads, and execute strategies in targeted accounts for growth.
• Leverage a multi-channel approach to remotely engage customers with customized content and offers via Veeva CRM.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Elanco’s portfolio to lead product launches and brand initiatives.
• Execute sales objectives and metrics to ensure territory success and customer satisfaction.
