Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Medical Records Coder II-Inpatient for a 100% remote role. You will code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, review complex cases, and ensure accurate DRG/APC assignments. Remote workers must reside in specified states and may participate in ongoing education and audits.

Qualifications include RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/HCS-D certifications and experience with coding software. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is paid in four installments over 24 months.

Qualifications

• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D certifications required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review complex medical records and accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions.
• Coordinate/review the work of designated employees.
