Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder for a fully remote contract with a leading regional health system. This role supports high-acuity inpatient coding across multiple specialties and offers a 6-month engagement with potential extension.

Responsibilities include assigning accurate diagnoses and procedures, maintaining productivity and quality, and using Epic EHR and the 3M encoder. Start ASAP, PST hours.

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.
