Job summary

Medasource is hiring experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote 6-month contract, with potential extension. The role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment, ideal for coders with strong inpatient experience.

Responsibilities include coding across diverse specialties and ensuring accurate diagnoses and procedures using Epic EHR and the 3M encoder, with emphasis on productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered.
• Experience in an academic medical center or trauma facility is preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and experience using the 3M encoder.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across cardiology, neurology, surgical, transplants, NICU, and other complex cases.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes per standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet established productivity and quality expectations.
