Job summary

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Coder (Inpatient) for a fully remote role with a Level 1 Trauma Center client. You will accurately code complex inpatient records using EPIC and 3M, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high productivity.

Ideal candidates hold RHIT or RHIA (CCS considered), plus 3+ years inpatient experience in trauma, L&D and newborn coding preferred. A secure VPN and VPN-ready equipment are required for this remote position.

Qualifications

• RHIT or RHIA certification required; CCS considered.
• 3 years inpatient coding in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery and Newborn coding preferred.
• Proficient with EPIC EHR & 3M encoder; VPN-required for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code complex inpatient records using EPIC / 3M.
• Meet or exceed 1.5 charts / hour productivity and 95% accuracy.
• Collaborate with CDI to reconcile documentation.
• Respond to coding queries within 1 business day.
• Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, DOH, DNV, OSHA, SUNY regulations.
