Jobrapido is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder (CCS certified) for 100% remote work. The position requires at least 5 years of IP PCS coding experience, CCS certification, and a full-time W2 arrangement with weekday day shifts. Immediate start and an IP/OP coding assessment are part of the process.

The coder will work with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and reference tools while using Cerner, PowerChart, 3M, and EPIC systems to ensure accurate coding across inpatient and outpatient accounts.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of IP PCS coding experience.
• CCS certificate is required.
• Remote, full-time role with weekday day shifts.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM and ICD-PCS coding.
• Experience with CPT and HCPCS coding.

Responsabilités

• Examines the complete medical record to determine principal and secondary diagnoses, procedures, and complications.
• Accurately sequences diagnoses and procedures with target 95% accuracy.
• Aims for optimal DRG assignments with computer system support.
• Maintains consistent performance and productivity while ensuring quality.
• Holds accounts for additional information needed for accurate coding/DRG assignment and communicates with staff as needed.
• Keeps current on coding guidelines and shares updates with colleagues and supervisor.
• Completes assignments as directed by management in a reliable manner.
• Pursues continuing education and professional development.
• Works as a team member to meet department and client goals.
• Performs related duties or special projects as assigned.
