Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida is seeking an Experienced Inpatient Coding Specialist for a fully remote role. You will code and abstract inpatient records using ICD-10-CM/PCS, ensuring 95% accuracy and timely completion within queues and email workflows.

Prerequisites include RHIA/RHIT/CCS, an Associate degree in Health Information Management, and 2 years of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding experience; Epic and 3M Encompass experience are preferred. Florida residency required for remote work.

Qualifications

• RHIA or RHIT or CCS REQUIRED.
• Associates degree in Health Information Management or Coding program.
• 2 years of inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS coding experience.

Responsabilités

• Code and abstract inpatient charts using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Assign DRG, SOI, ROM with high accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory updates.
• Respond to queries and audits within required timeframes.
