Job summary

US Acute Care Solutions is seeking a Coding Education Specialist – Inpatient Medicine to design and deliver engaging coding curricula for learners at all levels. This remote role involves developing lessons, delivering instruction via platforms and coordinating with internal teams to improve coding practices.

Ideal candidates will have inpatient medicine coding expertise, RHIT/RN/CPC/CCS-P accreditation, and strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Zoom.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, specifically Inpatient Medicine.
• Knowledge of Inpatient Medicine payor and coding guidelines.
• Proficient with Windows applications: Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, Zoom.
• Attention to detail; multi-tasking and ability to work independently.
• Identify research problems and resolve discrepancies; strong communication with stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and update coding lessons, projects, and assessments for varying objectives and audiences.
• Deliver high-quality instruction across in-person or virtual classrooms.
• Monitor learner progress and provide feedback or group support.
• Measure student performance and report data to inform improvements.
• Engage with external training programs and internal coding team initiatives.
• Create and maintain coding resources (SOPs, site pages).
• Research coding topics and provide recommendations to the Industry Monitoring team.
• Collaborate with RCM teams to ensure coding policies are applied.
• Provide educational consultations for internal Coding staff; assist webinars and QA meetings.
• Analyze audit results to identify root causes and drive improvements.
