Job summary

OU Health seeks an Inpatient Coding Auditor to perform quality reviews and audits of inpatient coding, delivering education to improve documentation quality. The role supports prebill reviews, DRG validation, and ongoing compliance across the HIM Coders team.

There are multiple levels (I–III) with education and experience requirements; remote eligibility applies for candidates residing in AR, KS, MO, OK or TX before start. Training and policy guidance are provided.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or CIC certification required.
• Inpatient Facility Coding Auditing or DRG Validation experience required.
• Academic Health Center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient coding quality reviews and prebill audits.
• Performs peer-to-peer auditor reviews.
• Communicate with teams to resolve coding/account issues.
• Initiates rebilling as required per policy.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy standards.
• Reviews coding guidelines and policies to stay current.
