Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Inpatient Coding Auditor to work from home, focusing on complex inpatient coding quality reviews across the HIM Coders department. The role supports DRG validation, pre-bill reviews, and ongoing training integration within the auditing team.

The ideal candidate has experience in inpatient facility coding auditing, RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/CIC certifications, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Requires experience with inpatient coding auditing and DRG validation.
• Ability to perform peer-to-peer auditor reviews and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and data quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions of coding quality reviews for inpatient coding across OU Health.
• Conducts peer-to-peer auditor reviews.
• Communicates with teams to resolve account review issues and DRG validation.
• Responds to coding questions from internal/external staff.
• Initiates rebilling per policy on special projects.
• Tests tip sheets and training from auditing team and provides feedback.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy to support data integrity and organizational goals.
