Huron Consulting Group is seeking an Inpatient Coding Auditor to support our Managed Services team in the United States. The role focuses on auditing inpatient coders and offshore auditors to ensure DRG accuracy and adherence to coding guidelines, with clear communication to client teams and leadership.

The position requires experience in inpatient coding, encoder software proficiency, and the ability to operate across on-site and remote teams to improve clinical outcomes and revenue integrity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as an inpatient coding auditor.
• 3+ years' experience in coding inpatient hospital accounts.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with encoder software and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Audit inpatient coders and offshore auditors to ensure 95% DRG accuracy.
• Perform quality checks on visits coded per client SOPs.
• Prepare audit reports and provide feedback to coders.
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations.
